In the game, the recipient competes alone against the team consisting of all the other party guests. One of you is the show host, asks the questions and keeps an eye on the time. The answers can either be written in order on a piece of paper or simply shouted out loud.

Personalized birthday game #2: Who is it?
I’m sure many of you will remember “Who is it?” from your childhood. The game in which you start by choosing a person who then has to be guessed by the other person using simple decision questions. And who would have thought it, the game is perfect for turning into a personalized birthday game for two people. Simply replace the game characters with characters from your circle of friends, from TV series or famous people. Perhaps the birthday boy or girl studies philosophy? – How about old philosophers? Physics – What do you think of famous physicists?
However, they don’t necessarily have to be characters. If the recipient is a nature expert, for example, you can swap them for well-known species of flowers, trees or even birds. There are no limits to your creativity here.
Personalized birthday game #3: The birthday scavenger hunt
The birthday scavenger hunt is also a wonderful personalized birthday game. But beware: it requires a few clever minds, experts in logical thinking and experienced puzzle solvers in the preparation phase, as cooperation is required here.
The classic scavenger hunt
There are two types of birthday scavenger hunts, but both are personalized birthday games. The first and classic version takes place outdoors. For this, you come up with a series of personal clues for the birthday child, which all follow a route. For example: “Go to the café where you first met [guest A] and say the keyword [XYZ] at the till” or “Check the underside of the bench where you used to picnic with [guest C] in the summer.”
Of course, you have to hide all the clues first. It’s best to follow the same route with an hour’s head start, so you have more certainty that your clues won’t have disappeared before the scavenger hunt. The FBI agents among you can of course also lie in wait and make sure that everything runs smoothly. The final stage of the scavenger hunt is a face-to-face meeting with a big cake.
The virtual scavenger hunt
The second variant takes us to the internet and is a little trickier. This time you scatter the clues on all kinds of websites – Wikipedia, online forums, Instagram, Facebook, online news portals, whatever you can think of. For example, you could give the tip: “There could be a clue hidden in the last Facebook Messenger messages from [guest E] that tells you where to go next. Can you spot it?” or “Take a look at the trivial names for daisies on Wikipedia. Do any of these names remind you of a particular place?” A scavenger hunt like this requires a lot of preparation time and at least as much research, but is all the more fun for the birthday child in the end.
The following applies to both scavenger hunts: don’t forget to indicate exactly where the next clue is hidden. Perhaps on the underside of a bench? Under a flower pot? Will I get the clue from a certain person?

Personalized birthday game #4: What happened?
The aim of “What happened” is to make all the party guests laugh and find out more about each other. To do this, all guests have to think of a funny story in advance that they have experienced together with the birthday child at some point and print out this story in the form of a picture. The picture doesn’t have to be one of you. You can also print one from the internet. It’s also best not to make it too obvious what happened, because that’s what you have to guess.
On the day of the party, one person shows their picture and the other guests have to guess what might have happened back then. The birthday boy or girl can either guess which event they are talking about or answer the guests’ questions and hypotheses until the true story is revealed at the end.
