If you’re looking for a team-building experience, you should hold your company event in Hamburg. After all, hardly any other city in Germany has as much to offer as the Hanseatic city – especially when it comes to varied team-building events. Below, we present ten ideas on how you can make your company event entertaining and promote team spirit.

Why is team building important?

Team building not only strengthens the cohesion of the workforce in the company, it also creates a more familiar and pleasant atmosphere in everyday office life. After all, being together, socializing and tackling a common task outside of everyday life has a lasting positive effect on cooperation and the group’s problem-solving skills.

Corporate event in Hamburg – the best 10 ideas

1. laser tag

The players are equipped with a vest and a “phaser” (a laser pistol) and divided into two or more teams. There are numerous partitions, barriers and obstacles in the game arena. The aim of the game is to score the most points. These points are scored by “marking” your opponents with your aiming device, i.e. hitting them at certain points on the vest. In addition to reaction and stamina, teamwork, tactics and accuracy are also important. Lasertag can be played directly in St. Pauli in a stylish loft.

2nd pub quiz at the Koppheiser

The Koppheiser – a trendy mix of café and bar – regularly hosts quiz events in which teams of up to five players compete against each other – perfect for a company event in Hamburg. The topics are varied – they range from general knowledge and estimation questions to completely unnecessary but fun and thoroughly interesting knowledge.

3. bowling and drinks at Lemon

Hamburg’s cult location Lemon impresses with its original 70s ambience, a touch of bar chic, live DJs and fresh cocktails. The Lemon’s absolute unique selling point, however, are the two bowling alleys in the basement, which defy the trend towards huge bowling halls. Winning or losing together in combination with delicious drinks strengthens your team with a fun and sporty pastime.

4. archery

There is evidence that Stone Age reindeer hunters hunted with bows and arrows in the Stellmoor tunnel valley in the north-east of Hamburg as long as 12,000 years ago. Today there is a training area with a course where you and your team can learn the art of archery. It’s especially nice when you learn new skills during team building!

5th XXL Escape Room Theater OPOLUM

Escape room games have become one of the most popular events for intensifying a sense of togetherness among company staff. However, the OPOLUM in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt is no ordinary escape room. As the respective story is driven forward by live actors, this form of escape room is particularly lifelike and the exciting story is experienced in an incredibly intense way. 7. digital scavenger hunt

Equipped with special tablets that have their own scavenger hunt software, the individual teams criss-cross Hamburg. During the various tasks that have to be solved, the players also learn many interesting and curious stories about the Hanseatic city.

8th craft beer tasting

Ideal for completely new teams to get to know each other better in a relaxed, lively atmosphere. Craft beer is characterized by unusual ingredients such as coffee beans, orange peel and exotic spices. Who can guess all the ingredients during the tasting? However, the distinctive palate expertise is actually secondary – the enjoyment is the main focus and the slowly accumulating amount of beer drunk is guaranteed to make for a fun evening!

9th graffiti workshop

As an introduction, you will get to know Hamburg’s graffiti masterpieces on a walking tour. Then it’s off to the most creative corner of the Hanseatic city, the Gängeviertel, where you will be taught the basics of spray art and helped to create your first masterpiece. Incidentally, the stencil technique you will learn is also used by the world-famous Banksy. This makes creating an artistic “mural” almost child’s play!

10. climbing forest Hamburg

Some people get weak-kneed just hearing the word “climbing”. But don’t worry: the Kletterwald Hamburg has something for everyone – beginners and advanced climbers, young and old. There are eight different courses to choose from, ranging in height from two to ten meters.
