The trend toward modern, hip mini-golf is currently spreading from London to us. There, courses with a cool, urban vibe were already a massive hit years ago. Now this craze is finally making its way to major German cities. For decades, Hamburg\u2019s only indoor option was the classic black-light course on the outskirts of the city in Stellingen. But the market is currently booming. <\/p>

What mini-golf venues are currently open in Hamburg, and how good are their concepts? I’ve done some research on the industry for you. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

An Overview of Mini-Golf Courses in Hamburg<\/h2>

1. Swingers (Reeperbahn) \u2013 The London Hype Concept<\/h3>

This venue is definitely the forerunner of the current global craze. Many years ago, I had the chance to meet the founder of Swingers<\/i> in London in person. What\u2019s exciting about the concept is that what really draws people in is the unique atmosphere. It\u2019s a full-fledged nightlife experience with drinks right by the train tracks, an integrated food court, and DJs. Swingers<\/i> on the Reeperbahn is currently still under construction. It\u2019s not yet clear exactly when it will open\u2014but the concept is currently expanding worldwide and is set to really shake things up in the neighborhood. As soon as it opens, I\u2019ll check it out for you and share my experience here. <\/p>

2. Moviegolf (Hafencity) \u2013 Movie Trivia Under Black Light<\/h3>

Moviegolf<\/i> is based on the tried-and-true concept of classic black-light mini-golf with traditional courses. The real innovation is hidden on the walls: While your fellow players take their shots, you can look for familiar movie scenes on the walls\u2014a fun way to pass the time for anyone who has to wait. One minor downside: Instead of fitting, atmospheric movie music, unfortunately only regular radio plays in the background. The location, right in the heart of Hamburg\u2019s HafenCity, is absolutely top-notch, though. <\/p>

3. StoryGolf (Hafencity) \u2013 Set Design for Movie Buffs<\/h3>

Because the location in HafenCity is so great, Moviegolf<\/i> will soon face direct competition. StoryGolf<\/i> is moving into the neighborhood. Even though the name sounds similar, it\u2019s based on a completely different concept: Here, you can expect authentic, elaborate set designs. Every single course is visually different\u2014at least that\u2019s what the provider\u2019s website promises. It\u2019s set to open in fall 2026. My expectations are high. As soon as it opens, I\u2019ll test out the concept for you. <\/p>

4. Action Arena (Norderstedt) \u2013 The All-Inclusive Classic<\/h3>

Here you can enjoy classic black-light mini-golf. The big difference\u2014and advantage for groups\u2014is the pricing structure: At the Action Arena<\/i>, you pay a fixed price, and your ticket includes access to other attractions in the arena in addition to mini-golf. <\/p>

The hype is just getting started!<\/h2>

The market in the Hanseatic city is extremely dynamic. Since the trend toward modern mini-golf is just really starting to take off, we\u2019re sure to see even more providers and innovative concepts opening in Hamburg in the coming months. <\/p>

Alongside the mini-golf boom, a second, massive trend is currently taking off in the leisure industry: live game shows and interactive quiz shows.<\/b> You can already experience this brand-new format up close here at OPOLUM. In our own, fully equipped game show studio, up to 24 people compete against each other in a variety of mini-games spanning the categories of puzzles, trivia, skill, and teamwork\u2014all while playing, laughing, and chatting together. <\/p>

But what actually connects the current mini-golf craze with the game show trend? The answer is: social entertainment<\/b>. <\/p>

These days, people are looking for experiences that focus on togetherness. They want to enjoy a delicious drink, socialize in a relaxed way, and take part in a fun activity at the same time.
