In an escape room, you are given a task that is wrapped up in a story. In the “Chainsaw” escape room, a figure is up to mischief in an abandoned warehouse. As detectives, you have to get to the bottom of it. In the “Smuggler” escape room, you have to smuggle valuable crates out of the storage facility. To accomplish this task, you have to complete several subtasks – finding clues, solving puzzles, cracking codes, opening containers, deciphering messages, etc.

The game master, an employee, explains all the rules at the beginning, monitors the game and helps if the situation seems hopeless. The special feature of OPOLUM: you are greeted directly by an actor in the appropriate role. This puts you straight into the story. This is only possible in OPOLUM. An escape room is equally suitable for all age groups – especially for people who enjoy solving puzzles, puzzling and combining. It is ideal to experience the adventure together with friends or family, but companies and businesses also use the escape room for team-building measures and shared magical moments with colleagues. The “Chainsaw” escape room is suitable for ages 16 and up, as it has a somewhat mysterious and dark design. The “Smuggler” escape room is suitable for ages 14 and up.

It depends on the size of the room! In our rooms, up to 20 people can play the “ChainSAW – The Dangerous Game” room at the same time. This makes it the largest of its kind in our city. In the normal immersive mode with acting, the “Chainsaw” escape room is suitable for up to 10 people. The “Smuggler” escape room can be played by up to 6 people.

On average, an escape room lasts between 60 and 90 minutes – depending on how quickly you solve the tasks as a team and reach your destination.
However, there are also so-called pop-up escape rooms, which are usually developed for promotions and often only last 10 minutes.

Our escape rooms last 75 minutes. The introduction takes about 15 minutes and the game itself 60 minutes.

The puzzles in our escape rooms are highly varied and entertaining. There are picture puzzles, logic puzzles, encrypted clues whose codes need to be cracked, hidden objects that need to be found and acoustic or visual puzzles that are solved through logical combinations and optimal team communication. We particularly like to emphasize the variety. We combine technically advanced puzzles that require all players at the same time, analog classic locks and haptic mechanics.

In other escape rooms, you can simply have clues displayed on monitors in different languages, for example. But since everything happens live with actors, we limit ourselves to the German language.

Our escape rooms feature live actors. We have been offering this type of escape room since 2021. The result: 2500 Google reviews with 4.9 out of 5 stars. But what is our secret? How can you imagine it? Our actors interact casually with you in character. It’s very informal and feels very real. If you really play along, the actors will respond. If you are rather quiet and want to experience the story passively, then our actors adapt to this and tell more instead of interacting.
