General questions about the offer and process
We are fully air-conditioned in the foyer and have fans in the rooms. An indoor escape room theater is an absolute pleasure even in warm temperatures.
Note: In summer, it is automatically 5-10 degrees cooler in the old warehouse floors of the Speicherstadt than outside.
All experiences are currently only available in German.
We do not offer English, Spanish, French or other languages.
Reservations are not possible.
In exceptional cases, we can reserve a slot for a week as a gesture of goodwill. However, we decide this on an individual basis.
Should you experience a delay, please write to us immediately on WhatsApp or give us a call.
We can always wait a few minutes. However, please understand that we have a tight time window and that the next groups will come straight after you. This means that your playing time may be shortened.
We check the lockers and rooms after every show and leave any valuables found in our office.
If you are missing or have lost valuables, please send us a message via WhatsApp. We will check directly whether we have found your lost items. You can then collect them from us by making an appointment.
We have lockers for our indoor escape rooms that cannot be locked. The lockers are not accessible to other guests.
We also have the option of storing rucksacks, bags or even suitcases in our office. This is also useful for outdoor tours.
Since opening in 2018, no guest’s belongings have been lost during the season. However, you always store your belongings at your own risk and we are not liable in the event of loss.

Our indoor escape game “Chainsaw” has a duration of 75 minutes.
The outdoor escape game “Conspiracy” has an average length of 2 hours.
You can play our outdoor escape game “Illuminati” for between 2.5-3 hours.
The Outdoor Kids Escape “Monster in the City” has a game length of around 1.5 hours
You cannot bring babies and small children to our indoor escape rooms. We make no exceptions to this rule. Entry is only permitted for persons aged 12 and over accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If a group aged 12 or over appears without a parent or guardian, there will be no admission. Our actors cannot take over the supervision.
You are welcome to take small children or a baby with you to our outdoor escape games, as you are outdoors.
You are welcome to take photos with your smartphone in our foyer before the game starts.
Cell phones are absolutely forbidden during the Escape Game and will result in exclusion from the game.
There are plenty of light sources during the Escape Game, but they also create a somewhat gloomy atmosphere. A flashlight is not necessary here. If you would like more light, you can ask the actor for light on site.
So that you still have a nice memory, we will take a photo of you and send it to you digitally by e-mail afterwards.
Animals are not allowed in our indoor escape games. There are no exceptions.
This is not a problem for our outdoor escape games as you are outside. However, please bear in mind that we are on the 4th floor. We recommend that you wait downstairs in front of the attic with your dog, for example, while at least one person collects the game material from us.

According to § 312g para. 2 no. 9 BGB, a revocation is excluded, as it is a leisure activity that provides for a specific date for the provision. We can no longer change booked dates.
Our tip: only book a number of people that you can replace if necessary.
If we are closed by Corona regulations, tickets remain valid! Tickets do not expire in the event of a forced closure. So you can book without worry.
Hygiene concept
We already tested a very meticulous hygiene concept last year, which was explicitly praised in the reviews on Google:
UPDATE: 25.05.2022
As of 01.05.22, we will repeal all measures in accordance with the Hamburg ordinance. Neither 3G nor 2G(+) are therefore still necessary. We will therefore no longer check corona proof at the entrance and will no longer check your vaccination status. It is also no longer necessary to check in via the Luca app or Corona-Warn-App. Wearing a mask is also no longer required, but we still recommend it according to the motto: “We’re not going to ram a rusty nail into our leg just because we can!” As triple-vaccinated employees, our actors still wear an FFP2 mask for their own protection and for your protection.
With us, 10 people can become investigators together. Our hygiene concept also includes making you feel safe. That’s why you can book an exclusive appointment without other guests (except on Saturdays) for groups of 5 or more. This means that you will have no contact with other guests during your entire stay. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this option to smaller groups for economic reasons.
Tickets that still say (2G+) are automatically normal tickets from 01.05.2022. You can simply ignore this addition. For bookings from 01.05.2022, there will no longer be an addition on the tickets. Please note: Should the pandemic situation worsen again and we are forced to implement G-conditions again, this does not entitle you to cancel. We ask you to take this into account.
At the end of your experience, you will go through a second exit and no longer enter the foyer. This means that you will only have contact with your group of a maximum of 10 people.
Arrival
There are paid parking spaces in front of our location, which are regularly checked during the day. We cannot categorically guarantee a free parking space. We therefore recommend the Speicherstadt parking garage about 700m away from us.
The U1 underground station Messberg is about 100 meters from our location. The journey time from Jungfernstieg or the main station is usually eight minutes. Take the 6-bus and get off at the Bei St. Annen stop. From there it is a five-minute walk.
As an insider tip, we are rather hidden and our entrance is easy to miss. We have a stand in front of the entrance to the store. The way up the stairs is then signposted. Due to monument protection in the historic Speicherstadt, it is not permitted to cover the façade with advertising. Use the dialog in the dark as a guide. We are right next door.
Who are our escape games suitable for?
We are Hamburg’s No. 1 escape room operator for stag and hen parties.
However, the following applies to our experiences:
- Respect for the actors
- No alcohol

Unfortunately, we cannot offer barrier-free access. This is due to the fact that our location is on the 4th floor of the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district. An elevator was not installed at the beginning of the 20th century.
You cannot bring babies and small children to our indoor escape rooms. We make no exceptions to this rule. Entry is only permitted for persons aged 12 and over accompanied by a parent or guardian.

For safety reasons, entry is not possible for epileptics, claustrophobics and heart patients. This is due to stroboscopic effects, confined spaces and sometimes loud noises. If guests do not comply with these restrictions and develop symptoms during the show, we will interrupt the show and charge for any costs incurred.
In principle, this is possible. However, we advise against this and accept no liability! If a pregnant woman enters the attraction at her own risk, special attention must be paid to steps and tripping hazards.
In any case. Every 90 minutes, 10 people can experience the Escape Game Theater at the same time. We recommend corporate events such as Christmas partiesup to 12 people. The OPOLUM is very popular with companies because we are completely new, the groups are addressed personally and a joint mission has to be accomplished, which makes the team building and welds them together.
Our online games are also a new addition to our range. We can personalize these to show special appreciation to employees.
We can also offer our outdoor escape game companies for up to 50 people at the same time. Here you can playfully discover the Speicherstadt and learn something about the historically most important buildings.
Frequently asked questions about the "ChainSAW" Escape Game Theater
The maximum number of people is currently 11.
Our unique Escape Room Theater offers large groups:
– Cooperative and communicative puzzles especially for large groups
– XXL play area for sufficient space
– Drama for an immersive experience
For Chainsaw, we offer the Flexi rate at selected times. With this rate, you can take part in an Escape Theater show with just 2 people.
Tip: Please only book the Flexi rate if you would also like to go on the adventure with other players.

This is only possible if you book a tariff where you play alone.

Tip: We strongly recommend that you book the Action rate, as the Scary rate is not recommended for children under the age of 14.
Prices Escape Room Theater “Chainsaw”
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday bookable from 5 persons:
- Price per person: 35,00€
- Minimum price 175,00€ for 2-5 persons. An additional €35.00 will be charged for each additional person.
Bookable on Saturdays (premium day) from 8 people:
- Price per person: 40,00€
- Minimum price 320,00€ for 2-8 persons. An additional €40.00 will be charged for each additional person.
Note: You can play “Chainsaw” on any day from 2 people, but you must pay the minimum number of participants. Our Escape Room Theater cannot be compared with ordinary escape rooms due to its size, technology and actors. With us, you are booking an experience in a class of its own.
Even if the title “Chainsaw” sounds scary, we have an action variant where you don’t have to expect any scares. There is plenty of light and exciting music. You only have contact with your inspector during your game. Actors will not touch you during the action fare and there is also no appearance with a chainsaw, as well as no jumpscare in general. You will not be frightened.
The scary tariff is called the scary tariff for a reason. You won’t find horror here. The lighting conditions are poor and the music is creepy. In addition to the interaction with the inspector, a masked figure may appear and scare you. The only question is when? Scaring is possible here. However, you will not be touched. An appearance with a chainsaw is unlikely.
The puzzles are identical in both tariffs.
The OPOLUM is a mixture of theater, escape room and interaction with the actors. We have developed a new show during the pandemic and the proportion of escape room puzzles has grown. Of course, this is also due to the fact that the show has to be corona-compliant. The interactions with the actors are fewer, but much more intense than before. We describe each show in a way that makes it easy to imagine what is happening. At the moment, “Chainsaw” is an XXL escape game with actors and therefore an escape game theater.
We recommend Chainsaw from the age of 14 in the action tariff with other guests. Children aged 12 and over can take part in exclusive bookings. The scary version is available for exclusive bookings from the age of 16.
The following applies to an exclusive booking: You can book an appointment with up to 10 people. Additional people can come along without booking in advance and pay contactless on site. Important for additional payments: We only accept debit and credit cards at the location. Unfortunately, cash payment is no longer possible. Please take this into account. The experience is designed for Escape Game newcomers and beginners. There will mainly be puzzles and selective acting parts with sufficient safety distance.
You can book the scary part of our escape game theater “Chainsaw” in the scary rate. If you don’t book this explicitly, it will certainly be dark at times, but combined with excitement and action. But for horror fans: it says scary and not horror! We made it that way for a reason. So please don’t expect horror.
It is not permitted to touch the actors or make vulgar or offensive remarks. Every actor is doing their best for you and wants to receive respect and attention in return.

Note: You can play “Monster in the City” on any day with 2 or more people, but you must pay the minimum number of participants. As this is a licensed game, we are unfortunately unable to offer the game at a lower price.
No. Our escape games can generally not be canceled.
In normal rain, drizzle or wind, the Outdoor Escape Game will always take place. Cancellation is not possible. The tablets and equipment are weatherproof.
In the event of heavy rain and all weather situations that make it impossible to play, we will convert your payment into a voucher. Important: We decide when to cancel your Outdoor Escape Game. However, we are always fair and accommodating (we want you to have fun outdoors).
Our recommendation: If you are speculating on sunshine, we recommend booking spontaneously the day before or on the desired match day, depending on the weather forecast.
