1st breakfast with the best coffee in the Speicherstadt in the coffee roastery
The coffee roastery probably not only has the best coffee in Hamburg, but probably the best in the whole of Germany. This is because the hand-picked coffee specialties from all over the world come here directly from the port of Hamburg and are refined using a particularly gentle drum roasting process.
This means that the coffee roastery can serve its guests the best and freshest coffee varieties for breakfast every day. And without a day off, always from 10:00 to 12:30!
But late risers are also well catered for. Although the 3 breakfast variations from hearty to vegetarian will no longer be offered later, the “world-famous” waffles according to grandma’s recipe as well as smoothies, bagles and many other delicacies are available daily from 13:00!

This café also scores with excellent coffee specialties from all over the world, but also offers a very special vacation flair in fine weather with its two summer terraces located directly on the water.
The breakfast times at Barrossa between 09:00 and 13:00 are particularly customer-friendly. Unfortunately, you can only enjoy breakfast at the Vlet on Sundays from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. But here you can enjoy brunch at the highest culinary level.

Bread, rolls and croissants are baked in the in-house stone oven manufactory and the buffet offers a wide selection of delicacies from the river and sea, dairy products from selected partner farms, but also, for example, a hearty beef goulash in red wine sauce and much more.
Although the name Vlet comes from Old High German (meaning canal ), the restaurant does not cook according to old recipes, but rather offers a modern interpretation of Hamburg cuisine. This love of experimentation has earned the Vlet, whose restaurant offers everything from 3 to 6-course menus in the evening from 5 p.m., as well as a highly creative à la carte selection, an award from the strict Gault Millau guide in 2021.

4th Schönes-Leben breakfast in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt warehouse district
Breakfast in the “Schönes Leben” restaurant starts at € 4.90 per person and rises very moderately in several variations up to the “Schönes Leben Deluxe Brunch” (from 2 persons) at a price of € 23.90 per person. Unfortunately, the time frame from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. is relatively tight, but on Saturdays and Sundays you will be spoiled in the morning.
5. the moated castle: brunch in one of the most beautiful buildings in Hamburg’s Speicherstadt warehouse district
You should always save the best for last – and the so-called moated castle is not only the most beautiful and most photographed building in the historic Speicherstadt, it also offers the unique Teekontor with around 250 types of tea from all over the world in addition to its excellent restaurant and incomparable ambience.
