Virtual adventure and exciting action for the whole family
Escape room – never heard of it?
Our most popular escape room games
There are thematically very different escape room games for the smartphone, and there are even some for children. From scary Psycho Escape Game for older people to Escape Team or the popular Faraway – the choice is really wide. The spectrum ranges from free escape room games with in-app purchases to paid games that really challenge your brain cells. For demanding escape room professionals, we have taken a closer look at the following three games:
Escape Room Game No. 1: NOX Escape Room
Walkthrough video: https://youtu.be/O0heZ5jnh7c
In the NOX Escape Room Game, the player goes alone into a mysterious old house full of secrets. In addition to solving puzzles, you have to gain access to mysterious rooms. Clues and fragments are sought in every conceivable place in order to solve the puzzle.
About the game experience: The graphics of this escape room game are particularly appealing. You tap on pieces of furniture and the like to find clues. The isometric perspective is also impressive, and the quick change between rooms is very well implemented. The tasks are difficult, but can be solved with logic. Unfortunately, the playing time is a little short for experienced escape room gamers and the internet connection should not be jerky. All in all, however, a great experience.
Escape Room Game No. 2: Psycho Escape
Available for IOS
Walkthrough video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_-9C9S4r7M
If you prefer a scary experience, you should take a look at Psycho Escape. In this escape room game, the protagonist is being pursued by a murderer from whom you have to escape. You have to solve the puzzles by the skin of your teeth to escape your pursuer. Really not for the faint-hearted. The graphics are impressive, very realistic and create a creepy atmosphere. Although the puzzles are often quite easy for experienced players, this is easily made up for by the atmosphere. One real disadvantage is that only the first nine levels are free; but if you like the game, you won’t be put off by this. Speaking of horror: This game is for adults only. If you’re looking for a similar game for a slightly younger audience, Doors & Rooms is a slightly less scary choice.
Escape Room Game No. 3: Live experience with Escape Team
Explanatory video: https://youtu.be/_lDrUM8_hL0
Not just digitally. The great thing about the “Escape Team” game is that you can bring a live exit game into your home. With radio play sequences and an atmospheric soundtrack, the app provides you with all the information you need for your mission. It’s best to have a pen, paper and glue ready, you can print out all the other materials yourself. The Escape Room app accompanies you on your adventure as a decoder in which you enter number combinations. This will help you progress in your adventure. Each task is possible from two to four players, so it requires good cooperation. Our tip: Try it out with the whole family!
The gaming experience: convincing! The tasks score with variety and innovation, the puzzles are difficult but not unsolvable.
There is a training mission as an exercise for the Escape Team system. This is the ideal introduction to escape room games in general. And: the first two missions are free.
More escape room games – suitable for all ages:
That was our top three of the best escape room games. You want more? Go ahead!
The House of Da Vinci is an older but outstanding escape room game. Participants end up in Leonardo Da Vinci’s house to search for the master himself. The game contains beautiful graphics, various riddles and puzzles and a series of themed Da Vinci rooms and much more. In terms of gameplay, it is a similar experience to The Room. This includes dark environments, smooth movement and the entire puzzle within a puzzle. There are some tiny objects that are hard to find, and the game is quite difficult compared to most of its competitors, but somehow we find it charming for that very reason.
Available for iOS and Android.
Faraway 4, which is available for iOS and Android, is also very popular. It is free, but contains advertising and allows in-app purchases. In this escape room game, you find yourself in a strange world from which you are trying to escape. With the help of old notes, you try to find your way back to your world in 20 levels and discover exciting secrets in the process. Another special advantage: the game can be played completely offline.
Cube Escape: Paradox is also free and available for Android and iOS. This escape room game is a relatively classic situation. You wake up in a locked room but can’t remember anything. The task is to escape from the room. If you manage to do so, your memories will return. Hand-drawn graphics and movie elements make the game very exciting and sometimes even quite scary.
So, those were our top escape room games. We hope you enjoy solving the puzzles! And if you’ve got the urge to go out and experience something new, then book a voucher with us right away so that you can have another exciting experience right after the crisis. We look forward to seeing you!
